On Screen Chat (Twitch, Kick & YouTube)

On Screen Chat by DRKNESS_x is a browser-source overlay that pulls live chat from multiple streaming platforms into a single, unified chat window. Instead of showing only Twitch chat, you can display messages from Twitch, Kick and YouTube all in one place — great for co-streaming, restreaming, or just keeping every community visible.

What it is

The overlay connects to each channel you specify and merges incoming chat into one on-screen feed. It is lightweight, runs as a normal OBS browser source, and keeps the look clean so viewers can follow the conversation across platforms without switching windows.

How to use it

Use the overlay URL and fill in your channel names for each platform. The example below uses xqc on all three services, but you can mix and match usernames — or even use only one platform.

https://xqcchat.com/overlay?twitch=YOURNAME&kick=YOURNAME&youtube=YOURNAME

Replace YOURNAME with the channel name for each platform you want to include. You can omit a platform entirely by leaving out its parameter.

For example, if you only stream on Twitch, use just the twitch parameter:

https://xqcchat.com/overlay?twitch=YOURNAME

URL parameters

  • twitch=YOURNAME — connects to the Twitch chat for that channel.
  • kick=YOURNAME — connects to the Kick chat for that channel.
  • youtube=YOURNAME — connects to the YouTube live chat for that channel.

Tips

  • Works as a regular OBS browser source at the size you want.
  • Set the width wide enough to show platform icons next to messages.
  • Use a green-screen or transparent background setup if you want the chat floating over your gameplay.
